The cozy Black Bear Cottage is just 10 minutes south of downtown Bozeman and very close to Montana State University. It is nestled in the foothills of the Gallatin Range with fantastic views of the entire valley! The home sits on 240 acres and has miles of private roads and trails on the property. Fishermen will enjoy Bozeman Creek at the bottom of the hill as well as a small pond stocked with brook trout!
General Description: The home is a queit getaway with all the conviences of Bozeman just minutes away. It features a quaint living area, 2 bedrooms, a complete open kitchen, living room, and dining room floor plan. Wildlife frequents the area, so expect to see an abundance of deer and elk. Sourdough Trailhead is up the road about a third of a mile where you can hike, bike, snowshoe or crosscounty ski. Its a locals favorite.
Bedrooms: The cottage features a main level master bedroom with a king size bed and master bath with a gorgeous stone tile bathroom and a spacious double showerhead stall. The second bathroom features a tub and shower combination and is located just off the main level living area. A large open area comprises the second floor which features a gorgeous queen-sized log bed, a nice twin pull out sofa and a great twin-sized sleeping platform in front of a window that sleeps one person comfortably or is great for just relaxing and reading a good book! This area is really kid friendly as well, with plenty of books, games and toys available. Both bedroom areas feature flat-screen SmartTVs with a few local channels available.
Living Room: The living room is a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring Bozeman and the sorrounding area. The charming gas fireplace is centrally located in the living room and is a great way to warm up after a chilly Montana day or a cool Montana evening.
Kitchen and Dining Room: The simplicity of the kitchen is centered on its central location and has all the amenities of home. The large dining room table seats six and has beautiful views of the Gallatin Valley.
Setting: Set at the base of the Gallatin Mountain Range foothills, the location is exceptional. Just down road from the driveway is one of Bozeman's most popular trailhead that you and your group can hike, mountain bike, cross country ski and explore the beauty of a true Montana trail. Bozeman is just a short 10 minute drive away.
Airport: The Bozeman Airport is about 25 minutes away.
